Dhaulagiri,
the seventh highest mountains in the world, soars 8167m above
the great Kali Gandaki Valley. The valley is the deepest on
the earth as it is flanked by two 8000m peaks namely; Dhaulagiri
I and Annapurna I. Besides the breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri’s
massive south face and Annapurna ranges, infinite variety
is the distinctive feature of this trek . We trek through
forests of pine and rhododendron and fir to cross over French
Pass (5240m). We descend into the wild and untravelled valleys
with possible sights of Thar (blue sheep). Then the trail
crosses over Thapa La Pass ( 5250m) with exceptional views
of the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world
and then steep descend to a valley and finally to Pokhara.
